Currently there are 72 countries worldwide where it is considered a crime to be homosexual and among them there are 8 in which it is punishable by death. The LGTBI collective is a very discriminated group worldwide, in which their victims suffer harassment and violence in silence. 80% of people who suffer this discrimination do not dare to report because they believe that justice is not going to do anything or fear, they prefer to suffer in silence before disclosing their situation. Unfortunately, many victims end up being killed simply by the fact of being different or not being what they think is "normal". It is incredible that in the XXI century LGTBI people cannot lead a normal life or even can walk quietly on the street due to the pressure they suffer daily. Many celebrities are being aware of this serious problem and, thanks to their influence, they try to make people see that being gay, lesbian, transsexual, or any other kind of condition is not bad, each person is different and yet, we are all humans. For this reason, we must have the same rights regardless of each one's way of being.
From a historical perspective, homosexuality has been oppressed and an attempt has been made to eradicate it, it was said that it was a disease and that with the right treatments people could be "redirected". There have even been laws against homosexual advertising because they believed that it influenced people to get involved in the LGTBI collective, especially children. In Russia, a law was passed in 2013 against this type of propaganda, but due to an error when drafting the law itself. With the arrival of the Olympic Games in Sochi the problem of repression suffered by homosexuals became visible to the whole world, many countries have changed their relationship with Russia from this moment.
Currently the subject of the LGTBI collective is a little more accepted, but there is too much work to do so that people can be truly free and not be harassed for being what they believe they really are. We must make the world aware that Human Rights are for everybody and we must not discriminate anyone, they have no right to hit anyone, and , by no means killing them.
